464 newly-promoted Central Luzon cops take oath
CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police Regional Office-3 (Central Luzon) director Chief Supt. Amador V. Corpus on Monday warned the entire police force in Central Luzon not to get involved in any illegal activities.
Corpus issued the warning as he administered the oath-taking and mass pinning of the newly promoted 51 police commissioned officers and 413 non-commissioned police officers at the PRO3 parade ground here, witnessed by their families and relatives.
“I warn each and every one of you to stay away from doing nefarious activities. I will not tolerate anyone of you for violating our laws. You are not worthy to wear our uniform and you should be removed from our ranks. As I always been saying that in your entire police career, there is only one rule, one procedure, and one lesson; it is very simple. Know what is right and what is wrong,” he said.
He also told the 464 newly-promoted police personnel that promotions are not a reward for doing well, but recognition that each of them has the potentials to do more.
“Today, the new ranks laid on your shoulders manifest the significance of your well-earned promotion. You know our standard here at the PRO3—that is for the community folks to feel that they are safe. So, if you are given a certain task, you must do it well as policeman who is truly responsible and a disciplined public servant,” he added.
The pinning of ranks was done simultaneously in all levels of command of the Philippine National Police in PRO-3 to give due recognition to the newly promoted police personnel. (PNA)
